Changing Courses

You may have made up your mind from an early age about your future career path, or you may be keeping your options as wide open as possible.

The first few weeks at a new school or college are important times to test to see if you are on the right course. If you have any doubts at all it is best to talk to your college tutors, Careers advisor or Youth Support Officer sooner rather than later.

The longer you leave changing your mind the harder it will be for you to catch up and settle in on your new course.

In exceptional circumstances (e.g. long term illness) it might be possible to apply for a third year's support from the travel and accommodation grant. This is not guaranteed and should not be assumed to be a universal right.
